We provide information on health checkups related to employment and stay, including the Work and Visit (H-2), Conversation Instructor (E-2), Industrial Trainee (D-3), Artist or Athlete (E-6), Non-professional Employment (E-9), and Seafarer Employment (E-10) statuses. Foreign nationals intending to stay in the Republic of Korea for more than 90 days from the date of entry must register as foreign nationals within 90 days of entering the country. If you have been granted a status of stay or permission to change your status of stay, you must register immediately upon receiving permission. This also applies to foreign nationals who have lost Korean nationality and acquired foreign nationality, or who were born in Korea and intend to stay for more than 90 days after being granted a status of stay.

We provide information on tuberculosis screening, urine drug testing (methamphetamine · cocaine · opiates · cannabis), and blood tests (hepatitis B antigen · syphilis). Tuberculosis screening is required for all examinations. Nationals of countries with a high risk of tuberculosis who enter on a short-term visa of 90 days or less and then change to a long-term status of stay must submit a tuberculosis screening certificate. Please first check the items and forms required by your status of stay and submitting institution.

Bring your passport and 2 passport photos. The photo size specified in the existing checkup information is 3cm × 4cm. If the form and photo size required by the submitting institution differ, please check its requirements first. If you have an Alien Registration Card, prepare it as well and bring the submitting institution’s 안내문.

Fasting is not required. Please be aware that taking excessive amounts of cold medicine or caffeine may cause a positive result on a urine drug test. Tell the medical staff about any medications you have recently taken, and do not stop prescription medication on your own.

Test results and issuance of the health certificate are generally advised to take approximately 1 week, but this may vary depending on the examination items, additional tests, and institutional circumstances. Please inform us in advance of your stay application and document submission deadlines, as well as requirements such as submitting originals or sealed documents.
