Pre-Employment Examination Information
Examination, Preparation, and Issuance Information
The required forms and examination items differ depending on the submitting organization. Please tell us the purpose of submission when making an appointment.
What is a civil service pre-employment examination?
We conduct examinations according to the employment physical examination form submitted for civil service appointments. We provide information on body measurements, color vision testing, vision and hearing, blood pressure, chest X-rays, blood tests, urinalysis (drug testing), and mental illness, skin disease, and dental examinations. Women cannot undergo the examination during their menstrual period. If undergoing drug testing, you must stop taking medications containing caffeine, such as cold medicine and painkillers, for 1 week. Please contact the clinic for detailed inquiries.
What examinations are included in a general pre-employment examination?
We provide information on body measurements, color vision testing, vision and hearing, blood pressure, chest X-rays, urinalysis, and blood tests (hepatitis, fasting blood glucose, liver function, kidney function, dyslipidemia, and anemia). Examination items may vary according to company policy, so please inform us of any special circumstances before the examination.
What documents should I prepare when visiting?
For a civil service pre-employment examination, bring your ID and 2 ID photos (half-business-card size). For a general pre-employment examination, bring your ID. If the submitting organization has a designated form or separate photo-size requirements, please prepare those as well.
How long do I need to fast?
Fast for 8 hours before the examination, except for water, and maintain an empty stomach on the day of the examination, including water and beverages. Confirm with the medical staff at the time of your appointment about medications such as diabetes medication and insulin, as well as examination preparations, and do not stop taking medications on your own.
How long do the examination and result issuance take?
The examination takes 20–25 minutes, and results take 1–2 days to be issued. If you need results on the same day, check the registration and collection times and additional fees in the cost information below. If abnormal findings are detected or a repeat examination is needed, it may take longer.
Can the results be used for submission to any organization?
First confirm whether the submitting organization has separately specified the examination items and standards, as well as the hospital that must issue the results. If issuance by the director of a national or public general hospital or the director of a military health and medical center is specified, you must follow those requirements. If a repeat examination is needed due to abnormal test results, additional fees may apply.
What are the pre-employment examination and additional fees?
Please refer to the table below for the general and same-day issuance fees for each type of examination. If the submitting organization requires additional examinations, tell us when registering before the examination.
