When evaluating the liver using the Samsung Medison V8 ultrasound system, we refer to liver stiffness and quantitative indicators related to fatty liver when necessary. The application and interpretation of the examination may vary depending on the actual equipment functions, examination quality, and the patient’s condition. We review this information together with blood tests and the physical examination to determine a care and follow-up plan for liver disease.

The diet and fatty liver checkup costs 100,000 won. We provide height and weight, body composition and blood pressure measurements, 12 basic blood tests (12 CBC items), and 21 detailed blood tests related to the thyroid, liver, kidneys, glucose, inflammation, and lipids. Optional liver ultrasound and artificial intelligence liver stiffness and fatty liver measurements cost an additional 100,000 won; non-contrast abdominal CT to check visceral fat costs an additional 100,000 won. Confirm the included items and whether optional tests are selected when making your appointment.

We provide thyroid Free T4 and TSH; liver-related total protein, albumin, globulin, A/G ratio, total bilirubin, AST, ALT, and gamma-GTP; kidney-related BUN, creatinine, B/C ratio, and uric acid; fasting blood glucose and hemoglobin A1c; CRP; and total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides. If you are having blood collection and other tests at the same time, follow the preparation instructions provided when making your appointment, including fasting instructions.

The active ingredient in Wegovy is semaglutide, while the active ingredient in Mounjaro is tirzepatide; they are different. Medical professionals determine the appropriate medication and whether to prescribe it by considering your weight, comorbidities, existing treatment, and approved uses in Korea. Follow the prescribed dosage, dose escalation, administration method, storage instructions, and the relevant product information, and do not change them on your own. Confirm the effects, adverse reactions, actual availability, and cost during your consultation.

During an IV therapy consultation, we assess the need for ingredients such as arginine, carnitine, vitamin B5, B6, and B12, and glutathione. Discuss the actual prescribed ingredients, the reasons they are needed, their approved uses, adverse reactions, and cost with a medical professional. Weight management is planned together with diet, exercise, and metabolic risk management; IV therapy alone does not guarantee a consistent reduction in body fat or prevention of weight regain.

This method involves inserting a balloon into the stomach endoscopically and inflating it to help control meal portions. After insertion, dietary and exercise management and follow-up care are necessary. Based on a maximum use period of 6 months, the balloon is removed endoscopically according to the schedule determined by a medical professional. We assess eligibility and explain whether the procedure can be performed by reviewing your weight, existing conditions, and previous stomach surgery and examination results.

After consultation and a preliminary evaluation, a balloon is inserted endoscopically and inflated according to the prescribed method. Dietary and lifestyle management and regular checkups are then carried out, and the balloon is removed endoscopically according to the removal schedule. Adverse reactions or complications such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and ulcers may occur, so listen carefully to the explanation and check the recovery and contact instructions. If severe symptoms persist or any abnormality occurs, inform a medical professional immediately.
